inspiración + empatía

training survey:
understand training goals
Background: We created a comprehensive survey to determine potential training topics for the Isla de Chira Tourism Collective. Our goal was to prioritize the training sessions members were most eager to learn about. Based on our needs assessment, we already knew other potential areas for improvement for the collective. We administered the survey at a tourism collective meeting and used the subsequent weeks to analyze everyone’s responses, follow-up with people who did not attend the meeting, as well as communicate with our partner, University of Costa Rica, to determine what training they could support us with.
Purpose: To understand participant training goals and develop an engaging training curriculum
Audience: Isla de Chira Tourism Collective

Lesson Learned: We partnered with the University of Costa Rica to help administer the training. It was a great external partnership because of the respect the university has within the country. They supported us on several sessions including a cultural heritage class, a marketing class, and a sustainable business class.
